Moraine Park I — Cloud on the Timber
Low cloud coming down onto a snowed hillside of ponderosa, with one grey rock outcrop breaking the treeline and the ridge above it already lost in the weather.
No subject and no horizon — the whole frame is texture and weather, and the cloud does the work a sky usually would. The most abstract piece in the Moraine Park series, and the one that reads best at scale.
Location: Moraine Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Orientation: Horizontal (3:2)
