Milky Way over the Ridge
The Milky Way standing up out of a gap between two eroded clay walls on the Pawnee National Grassland, the core bright enough to read against a sky still holding a little blue.
Far enough east of the Front Range that the sky goes properly dark. A long exposure with the foreground lit only by what the sky gives it, so the rock stays in silhouette and the band of the galaxy does all the work.
Location: Pawnee National Grassland, Colorado
